Shortly after 9:30 pm Monday evening Station's 39 (West Bradford) 46 EMS (Minquas) and Engine 46-2 (Minquas) were dispatched for the automobile accident on Skelp Level Road in the area of Winchester Trail, East Bradford Twp., as EMS, Chief 39 and Battalion 46 made the response the accident was upgraded to the vehicle overturned with entrapment. Battalion 46 arrived on the scene to report a vehicle overturned, in the woods with heavy entrapment. Chief 39 arrived shortly there after and requested Rescue 45 for the assist and Air Medical to be placed on standby. Upon arrival of the Rescue units all crews began to stabilize the vehicle and began to assess the situation. Crews from both Rescue 39 and Rescue 45 utilized various pieces of equipment to stabilize, and cut the vehicle and began the process to extricate the victim, all companies worked for approximately 45 minutes to extricate the occupant of the vehicle in 10 degree temperatures. The request was made to fly Air Medical in which Medivac 3 was airborne with a 16 minute ETA. Engine 39-1 was assigned a crew to handle the Landing Zone in the area of Boot Road and S Chestnut St in East Caln Twp. the patient was transported to the Landing Zone. Fire Police closed the road for the incident and all units cleared at approximately 11:30pm, after a lengthy cleanup.
