We would also suggest that if you have not done so, this is a great time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors. Additionally, the National Fire Prevention Campaign for this year is "Don't wait, Check the Date", this is a reminder that smoke detectors older than 10 years old should be replaced and every ten years after they should be replaced.
