Early Tuesday evening, West Bradford Fire Co was dispatched to Glenside Ave for a woods fire, this fire proved difficult to access as the location was behind a house with very steep hills and no vehicle access. Chief 39 initially arrived at Glenside Ave to find approximately 1/2 of an acre of woods involved with no access for vehicles and advised all apparatus to access from Seeds Lane, as units arrived on Seeds Lane it was still apparent that the only vehicles able to access to the fire were Brush and Tac 39, the other crew members had to walk in to the fire to assist with containment and extinguishing the fire. Despite dry conditions and the Fire Danger being High for the day, the crews arrived to hold the fire at approximately 3/4 of an acre. The fire crews performed extensive overhaul to assure the fire was extinguished in the heavily wooded area.
