West Bradford Fire Co, ended the day Friday with several calls, beginning at approximately 2:30 pm, the company was dispatched to Broad Run Road for trees and wires due to the strong winds blowing trees into the electrical wires, at approximately 7:15 pm WBFC was alerted for the Engine to assist East Brandywine Fire Co on the house fire, this incident was reduced to units on scene and Engine 39-1 was re-routed to the East Brandywine Fire house for a standby while they continued at the scene. Shortly after being released from East Brandywine the crews returned to WBFC and at 8:56 pm the dispatch came in to assist the West Chester Fire Dept on the commercial building fire, the Engine quickly made the response as we were still on station. While responding to the WCFD call the crews encountered several road closures, due to trees being down and had to reroute to other roads to continue the response. The crews that remained on station were then notified of several trees down blocking the roads within West Bradford and responded to numerous locations to either close the road off or remove the trees and reopen the roads to traffic. All total Friday, WBFC handled 9 emergency calls within approximately seven hours, and returned from the last incident around 2:00am Saturday morning.
