Assist To Po Mar Lin Fire Co

At approximately 4:30 pm Sunday, WBFC received the alert for an Engine to assist Po-Mar-Lin Fire Co (Station 36) on trees and wires along Brandywine Creek Road in Newlin Twp. All units responded within minutes, the 36 units from the southern end and 39 units from the northern end. Chief 39 arrived to find a large tree across the road blocking all access and burning up through the center. There were however, no power lines involved, so the crews worked to cut the tree and move it to the side of the road to make at least one lane passable, as the tree was cut up 36 crews extinguished the fire with the help of Brush 36. Station 36 Fire Police closed the roadway to allow the fire crews to work in a safe environment without the worries of additional traffic. Crews cleared the scene at approximately 5:45 pm.
