Saturday evening around 5:15 pm the First Alarm Tanker Task Force was dispatched to assist Modena Fire Co at the Coatesville Scrap Iron property for a "fluff pile", this is the material that is removed from vehicles or other items that are taken to the scrap yard to be recycled. The fluff consists of materials that are plastics, Styrofoam, seat cushions, or other items that are combustible. Due to water supply issues tankers were summoned to assist with fire suppression. Tanker 39 was in service for approximately 90 minutes.
