By Chief Jack Law III
February 16, 2019

Early Saturday morning the company along with MICU 46-3 was dispatched for the vehicle accident on Glenside Road. Units were advised that a vehicle struck a utility pole and there were wires arcing. Chief 39 arrived to find one vehicle blocking the roadway with a PECO pole broken at the base. The occupant was out of the vehicle and advised they were not injured. PECO was also on scene and advised that the power had been isolated. Fire police closed the road until the vehicle could be removed and while the crews controlled an oil spill from the vehicle. After the vehicle was removed all units returned and the scene was turned over to PECO.
