Dwelling Fire

At approximately 5:10 pm the assignment was dispatched for the dwelling fire, Chief 39 made the response and was advised of an appliance fire spreading to the cabinets and the house was being evacuated. Engine 39-1 arrived to report smoke showing and a working kitchen fire on the first floor, crews made the connection to the hydrant while the second crew stretched a handline to the front door, Chief 39 arrived to take Command and had the Engine 38 crew take the second handline to the door. Crews advanced inside to make a quick knockdown of the fire and began to check for extension and perform ventilation. Units were released as they gathered their equipment and personnel. 39 units remained on scene to await the Chester County Fire Marshal and perform overhaul. 39 units cleared the scene at 7:50 pm Thank you to our mutual aid partners for their assistance.
