The Winter Season is upon us, as Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is only days away. We would like to remind everyone that during the cold season, to please check your heating appliances, to include but not limited to furnaces, wood burning stoves and fireplaces, etc. If you use a space heater please follow the manufacturers recommendations for its use and although the following items should be checked monthly and batteries replaced every October, please check your Carbon Monoxide Alarms as well as your Smoke Alarms on a monthly basis. If you experience a power outage, and utilize a generator for backup power, please operate these units outside and follow the manufacturers use and guidelines.
