Memorial Day Parade

May 27 - Today the some of the members attended the annual Marshallton memorial parade. The parade begins at Marshallton United Methodist Church, and goes to the cemetery and veterans memorial on Northbrook Road. Rescue, Utility and Command 39 were in attendance.

Westwood Housing

May 26 - Several members of the 39 House headed west to participate in the 60th anniversary parade and housing for the Westwood Fire Company (Station 44). Station 39 would like to congratulate the members of Station 44, and wish them well as they begin another 60 years of service and brotherhood.

West Bradford Day 2007

May 20 - The members of the West Bradford Fire Company participated in the Township's annual Community Day at Shadyside Park. The members mingled with the residents, gave tours of the fire apparatus, and the Apprentice Firefighters put on a vehicle rescue demonstration, completing a roof removal in less than 9 minutes, a time that would rival most senior's times! After the Apprentices completed their work on the car, a couple of Senior firefighters decided to cut the car completely in half, just for fun. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and offered support. East Whiteland Standby

May 17 - During the evening hours on Thursday, some of the members took Engine 39-3 to Station 5 (East Whiteland) to cover their local during the annual Fire Company Fair. Engine 3 split time between East Whiteland's station and the fairgrounds, where we were able to partake in some of the festivities, and enjoy the company of some of their members. Thanks to East Whiteland Chief Jeff Brown and Lieutenant Finucane for the invitation. Hopefully, we'll see you next year!!

Representative Chris Ross visits Station 39

May 17 - State Representative Chris Ross held a breakfast at the Marshalton Station on Thursday morning. Represenative Ross spent about two hours getting to know members of the community and provided some valuable information.

Tanker Assist to Station 25

May 13- Early in the afternoon, Tanker 39 was dispatched as part of the first alarm tanker task force to assist Longwood (Station 25) on a barn fire in Pocopson Township. Tanker and Deputy 39 responded within minutes of dispatch and once on the scene, assisted with water supply and Assistant 39 assisted Concordville Fire Company (Delco 59) with a repair of their tanker. The tanker cleared after about 2 hours.

MVA on Marshallton Thorndale Road

May 13 - In the early morning hours Sunday, Station 39 was dispatched to Marshallton-Thorndale Road in the area of Yankee Dr. for a vehicle reported into a tree. Chief 39 (Buttner) arrived on location first and reported a vehicle overturned with one subject down in the roadway. Further investigation showed a total of three passengers to be evaluated. Two were transported to local hospitals, one refused treatment. The accident in under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.

West Bradford 2006 Banquet

May 5 - The members of Station 39 took the evening off to celebrate another successful year of protecting the residents. A night of dinner and dancing was held for the crew and their guests at the Italian Social Club in West Chester. Special thanks to the Minquas Fire Company for covering the district during the event.
