Late Night Auto Accident

January 20- At roughly 2300 hours the Station was dispatched to the area of Sugars Bridge Rd and Telegraph Rd for an auto accident. Upon the arrival of Rescue 39, Rescue Captain Lewis reported one vehicle overturned in the "S" turns just North of Telegraph Road. RC Lewis reported that the subject had self extricated, and was reporting a minor head injury. After evaluation by EMS crews the patient was transported to a local hospital. 39 units had scene and traffic control until the tow company righted and removed the vehicle. Units cleared after just over an hour.

5 Call day for Station 39

January 11- The day started out very eventful for the members of West Bradford. Approximately 0830, the Station was alerted to relocate an Engine to Station 51 while the members of the West Chester Fire Department were fighting a fire on W. Biddle St. Shortly after responding the assignment was upgraded and Engine 39-3 was directed to respond to the fire scene. During the response, Engine 3 was canceled from the fire response and directed to relocate to Station 53. While at Station 53, Engine 39 responded to 1 fire alarm, then returned to West Bradford.

Later in the evening the members were alerted to the 700 block of Shagbark Drive for a fire alarm. The alarm was unfounded and the units returned.

Thursday Night Training

 

January 10- Tonight the members were working on size up and initial attack considerations. After a tour through the Township discussing the size up of particular buildings, the members ventured to the Pinnacle at Brandywine Greene development for an up close look at new home construction. Special thanks to the developers for allowing us access to the building.

Early Morning Accident

January 6- Early Sunday morning the Station was alerted to the 1800 block of Shadyside Road for an accident that was reported with entrapment. Assistant 39 (G. Fairweather) was first on location and reported 1 vehicle on its side, with 1 patient out of the vehicle. Engine 39-3 and Rescue 39 arrived and secured the vehicle and controled the hazards. Units cleared after about 2 hours.
