Afternoon Brush Fire

April 21 - Early in the afternoon, Station 39 along with Station 38 (Thorndale), Station 46 (Minquas) EMS, and Montgomery County HAZMAT 9-1 were dispatched to Gallagherville Road for a report of a propane tank fire next to a residence. Chief 38 (D. Aberts) responded immediately and upon arrival reported that the propane tank was not on fire, but reported a large brush fire and established "Gallagherville Rd Command". First arriving units worked to contain the fire, getting it contained to about a 1/4 acre wooded area. After some extensive work by crews the fire was extinguished. Crews worked for about an hour.
