Rehab Assignment August 17 - Members of the 39 House were requested to assist the West Chester Fire Department (Stations 51, 52 & 53) with rehab while West Chester and Westtown - East Goshen Police searched for a missing Westtown Township resident. Utility 39, with Lieutenants Jean Solecki, Joe Crawford, and Firefighter Liz Fairweather responded with the rehab gear and the tents. They were on scene approximately 4 hours. The resident was found late in the day on the 18th. Good job to all! Units on scene: Westtown-East Goshen Police, West Chester Fire Department, Comm-1, Westtown SRT-1, Good Fellowship EMS (multiple units), Utility 39, Phoenixville FD SAR, multiple other Police Departments
Motor Vehicle Accident August 24 - As the members were returning from survival training at Embreeville Center, the Company was dispatched to the area of the 4 Dogs Tavern for the auto accident. As units began their response, Chester County Dispatch advised of numerous reports including reports of entrapment and fire. Upon arrival Assistant 39-A (G. Fairwather) reported a 2 vehicle accident blocking the roadway with 3 to be checked and no fire or entrapment. Rescue 39 was next on the scene under the command of Lt 39C (J.T. Solecki) began vehicle stabilazation and EMS assessment. Units cleared after about an hour. Units on scene: Rescue 39, Utlity 39, Engine 39-1, Command 39, Traffic 39, Ambulance 55-2
