. Along with the many ponds and creeks in the township, both branches of the Brandywine River flow through the township. Every year these rivers spill their banks and sometimes take citizens by surprise, such as the events in May 2014 (see link below). The West Bradford Volunteers have stood and will always stand ready to respond to water emergencies in the West Bradford or surrounding communities.
