Just before 1730 hours station 39 was dispatched for the Tanker and one engine to assist station 46 (Minquas) in the 100 block of Wallace Avenue on the first alarm tanker task force. With in minutes of the first dispatch, a second engine was requested on the second alarm tanker task force.

Tanker 39 and engine 39-1 made the response within minutes. Upon arrival the tanker started to assist supplying water to the fire and command requested 39-1 to set up water supply to fill incoming tankers in the area of route 30 and Woodbine Rd.

Engine 39-3 also made the response within minutes and set up a second fill site at the Downingtown Municipal Building. During the operation of this site, Engine 39-3 filled 28 tankers.

Shortly after the second fill site was set up, the water supply officer sent Engine 39-1 to Kerr park to draft out of the Brandywine Creek to supply the fire scene directly.

All unit where cleared around 0300 hours.

Thank you to stations 23 (Avondale) and 36 (Po-Mar-Lin) for covering our area while we assisted Downingtown
