Last month, John Follett, Dre Johnson and Brittani Johnson painted the Day-Room at substation. Today, the original, old and stained carpet was removed. After receiving many quotes on flooring from companies and contractors, a local Downingtown company was hired for the job.

Steve, owner of Stephen J Newman Jr Flooring, was the victim of a pick-up truck roll-over accident in West Bradford about 10 years ago. Due to our volunteers doing what they do, and for rescuing him in his accident, he gave us a GREAT deal on our materials, with a special THANK YOU to our volunteers for their services!

After pulling back the carpet, they found some cracks in the concrete. Those cracks have been filled in, sealed and leveled now. Half of the room has been done in a 6" vinyl plank, while the other half of the room is a carpet tile which is durable and easily cleaned/replaced if damaged.

The next step for the room is new furniture and a new TV to be delivered! A lot of time and hard work has gone into this project and we are excited for the finished project!
