Just after 9am, during a heavy rain storm that produced violent lightning, the company was dispatched to the 1300 block of Rhode Island Circle for a house fire. Chief Law, was first on location and confirmed the working fire. Engine 39-3 arrived and the crew made an aggressive interior attack on the second floor. Engine 46-2 laid in from the hydrant and had their crew take a 2nd hand line into the house to assist with the fire attack, in which the bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly and the fire brought under control in less than twenty minutes. The crews worked diligently in poor weather conditions to bring this fire under control.

Special thank you to stations 36 and 37 who covered the local and assisted in cleaning up and getting engine 39-3 back in service.
