As the area prepares for the fourth Nor'easter to impact our region, which may include heavy rain, high winds and heavy wet snow, we would like to offer some basic information. If your power goes out do not call 911 unless you have an emergency. For all power outages please contact your power supplier such as PECO at 1-800-841-4141 or if you live in another power supplier grid such as PP&L or Met Ed, please contact those companies. If you do lose power and are planning on running a generator please follow these safety tips: do not run your generator indoors, this includes garages, enclosed porches, basements or any other area within your home. Generators must be run outside and hooked up by qualified personnel. Do not re-fuel your generator while it is still running or is hot, as this is a fire hazard. If you are using an alternative heating source please be sure it is approved for indoor use. Do not use camping heat sources in your home. If you must travel and come across any wires down in the road way, do not drive near or over them - turn around! Do not drive around any road closures, such as barricades, road closed signs, cones or any other device or equipment that is used for closing roads, as there may be hazards that you do not see and that may cause harm to you.
