Has Spring Arrived?

While the first day of Spring officially arrived on March 20, 2018, the Northeast corridor of the United States braced for what was forecast to be the largest March snow storm now dubbed "Winter Storm Toby" and forecasted to drop up to 18 inches of snow on the local area. This storm would have surpassed the previously recorded larger storms to impact our area since March 1993, preceded by storms in March of 1958 and 1888, (that's right 1888). Thankfully the forecast was somewhat off, the snow fall totals were lower and we did not experience the high winds. In preparations for the storm the volunteers at West Bradford Fire Co prepared by installing tire chains on some of our apparatus so that if an emergency arose, we could make a safe response in the conditions that we may have encountered. During the storm which began Tuesday evening around rush hour and lasted until the early morning hours of Thursday we only responded to one minor vehicle accident. We would like to Thank the residents within our local district for being prepared, staying off the roads and heeding all warnings so that the snow plows could do their jobs and we only had to make one response.

From the Officers and Members of the West Bradford Fire Company, THANK YOU !
