Wednesday afternoon shortly before 3:30, the County Dispatch Center sent out a Chiefs Notification. Deputy 39 called in and it was reported that several ducklings fell approximately 4 feet into a storm water catch basin in the Bright Glade Farm Development. Deputy 39 responded to the location and found that approximately six ducklings fell through the drain gate and would need to be removed. The company was dispatched for the Special Assignment and the crew staffed the Rescue truck to respond out. Upon arriving at the location crews monitored the air before entering the drain box to remove the ducklings. After removing four grates and climbing into four different storm water boxes, seven ducklings were removed and an eighth was located by a UPS driver in the roadway. The ducklings were placed in a storage container with some water and left with the neighbors who, waited for the mother to return, too reunite them back together.
