House fire assist to Thorndale Fire Co

Wednesday evening around 11:30 pm the assignment was dispatched for the house fire in the Thorndale Heights section of Caln Twp. West Bradford was alerted for an Engine and Tanker on the first alarm, upon the arrival of a Thorndale Chief officer the second alarm was struck bringing an additional Engine and the Rescue from West Bradford. As crews arrived to assist with extinguishment we also assisted in securing a water supply in addition to the Tanker Task Force that was also assigned. Engine 39-1 laid 1,500 feet of five inch supply line as well as Engine 44-5 finishing the lay with 600 feet of supply line to supply a fire hydrant west of the fire. Crews assisted interior with fire suppression and checking the adjoining dwelling for extension. Exterior crews were assigned to the roof for ventilation assistance. Fire Police and Traffic 39 assisted with closing down the road to keep the fire crews safe. Crews cleared the scene around 4:00am to cleanup back at the station and prepared to go to their fulltime employment for the day.
