At 11:43 Saturday morning, Station 39 received a call for a brush fire in the area of the 1000 block of Glenside Road. While units were enroute, Chester County Dispatch advised the best access route to be Seeds Lane. Tac 39 arrived and reported about 1/4 of an acre on fire. Brush 45 was immediately requested to the assignment as well as additional manpower from 45/46 and 38. Crews contained the fire after about an hour and proceeded to wet down burnt areas and extinguish hot spots for another 2 hours. While finishing up the assignment, the company was alerted to Sawmill Road in the area of Fox Run for another brush fire. Engine 37-1 was alerted from Station 139 and reported a small brush fire caused by power lines and soon went available. The company was made available just over 3 1/2 hours after the original dispatch. Big thank you to Alert Fire Company, Minquas Fire Co., Thorndale Fire Co. and Modena Fire Company
