As we navigate through this COVID conundrum, we hear about the people on the front lines, the first responder's, the doctors, the nurses and police officers, however, there is one such group that doesn't get mentioned and that is the 911 call takers and dispatchers and we all have to work as a team. They may not be directly affected by what is happening on the outside with exposures to this virus and the other dangers that occur, but they are at the front of the line, answering the phones, answering questions, keeping family members calm during an emergency, dealing with stressful situations that they only have whatever details are being provided to them through the phone and sending responder's to assist those in need of help, those call takers and dispatchers are, our initial eyes and ears and relay very important information to the individuals responding to an emergency incident. So while all this confusion is going on around us, let us take a moment to remember and thank those individuals this week April 12-18, 2020 as it is National Telecommunicators Week.

We truly appreciate the work you do for us every day, Thank you.
