Thursday, April 16 turned out to be fairly busy, resulting in four calls for the WBFC Volunteers, the first call came in around 8:10 am to assist Minquas EMS with lifting, the company was recalled shortly after as the Minquas staff was able to perform the task. The second and third calls, 5:19pm and 6:36 pm, were for automatic fire alarms set off due to cooking and units were recalled as they arrived on scene. The fourth call at 8:56 pm, was for an automobile accident at Lieds Road and Strasburg Road, reporting one vehicle overturned, crews arrived to confirm with GFAC EMS, all occupants were out of the vehicles and the crews stood by until the tow company arrived to remove the vehicles. Fire Police closed the roadway until the debris was cleaned up. Crews cleared that incident at 10:10pm.
