Thursday evening, as the crews were finishing with their weekly routine of training, WBFC and Minquas EMS were alerted to an accident on Poorhouse Road. Upon responding, Chester County Fire Radio advised that the vehicle was off the roadway and was now reported with entrapment. Chief 39 arrived to find a single vehicle off the road, into a tree with heavy entrapment. As crews arrived the vehicle was stabilized and crews began patient treatment and extrication. The extrication involved removal of all doors and the roof for patient removal. The patient was transported to a local hospital by Minquas EMS and WBFC crews remained on scene to assist with cleanup and vehicle removal. Fire Police closed the roadway until State Police were finished and WBFC crews were released.
