This morning the West Bradford Volunteers responded to a reported vehicle accident on Lone Eagle Road in the area of the Chestnut Ridge development.

Assistant Chief Lucas arrived on scene first and confirmed a pickup truck off the roadway into brush with no sight of the operator. A witness indicated the driver fled on foot and provided a detailed description of the subject.

Chief Lucas ordered 37 Ambulance (Modena) to divert to the nearby neighborhood and search for the individual while Engine 39-1 secured the vehicle hazards. Upon arrival from their search, Ambulance 37 located a person of interest getting into a vehicle and relayed that vehicle information to the Pennsylvania State Police Trooper on scene. The vehicle of interest was stopped and the fleeing driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody.
