Articles of Incorporation
of the West Bradford Fire Company
Be it known, that the undersigned, at least three of whom are residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and citizens of the United States, and all of whom are of full age, having associated themselves together for the purpose of organizing West Bradford Fire Company, and being desirous of becoming incorporated in accordance with the provisions and requirements of the Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania known as "Nonprofit Corporation Law," approved May 5, 1933 as amended, do hereby declare, set forth and certify as follows:
1. That the name of the corporation is West Bradford Fire Company and that said name has been registered with the Department of State within six months of the date of the application for this charter.
2. That the location and post office address of its initial registered office in this Commonwealth is c/o Austin Fowler, R. D. #4, West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
3. The purpose or purposes of the corporation are: To provide fire equipment and buildings for the housing thereof, fire fighting and prevention services for the surrounding areas; to provide facilities for youth recreation, social enjoyment of its members and generally to promote the welfare of the community; to buy, sell, mortgage, and lease real property in conjunction with said purposes; to do any and all other acts incidental to the accomplishment of the foregoing purposes. It is not the purpose of the corporation to seek or provide any pecuniary gain or profit for any of its members, incidental or otherwise.
4. The term of its existence is perpetual.
5. The names, place of residence and Post Office address of each of the incorporators are as follows:

9. Admission to membership and the requirements thereof shall be as prescribed in the by-laws, subject to the constitution and the Laws of the United States and of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Before me, a Notary Public, in and for the county aforesaid, personally came E. E. Willing, Jr., David P. Johnson and John F. Romig, three of the above named incorporators who, in due form of law, acknowledged the foregoing instrument to be their act and deed for the purposes therein specified.

DECREE
AND NOW, this 10th day of November, 1953, an application for a Charter and the Articles of Incorporation of West Bradford Fire Company under the Non-Profit Corporation Law approved May 5, 1933, having been presented to the Court for approval accompanied by proofs of publication of the notice of said application, it is found that the said articles are in proper form and within the provisions of the said law and that the pruposes given in said Articles are lawful and not injurious to the community and that the name West Bradford Fire Company is presently available for corporate use, as evidenced by Certificate of the Secretary of the Commonwealth issued within six months. It is therefore ORDERED and DECREED that the said Articles of Incorporation be and they are hereby approved, and further that upon the recording of the said Articles and this Order, the said corporation shall come into existence for the purposes and upon the terms stated in the said Articles.
