Sunday evening, the West Bradford Fire Co volunteers were alerted to an animal rescue in the Reserve at Chestnut Ridge area of West Bradford Twp, typically we are requested to remove a cat from a tree or ducklings from a storm drain, however, this rescue was different and involved a deer stuck in a storm drain. Crews arrived to find a buck that had entered a concrete storm water pipe and could not get turned around to get out. Crews removed the grating on the upstream end of the pipe and coerced the deer out, where he regained his senses and footing and ran off into the wooded area, hopefully to reunite with the rest of his herd.
