Special Events

Firefighter I Graduation

June 26 - West Bradford Fire Company celebrates the graduation of three of its own from the Chester County Emergency Services Firefighter I training course. Firefighters Tim Fairweather, Sohn Stark and Regina Solecki attended the 8 week class with the goal of becoming nationally certified firefighters. The graduation celebrates the completion of that class. Graduation was hosted by the Wagontown Fire Company (Station 35) in their banquet hall. Many thanks go out the instructors from the Chester County Department of Emergency Services for all their efforts and their dedication to training.

WBYA Balloon Festival

June 16 - The West Bradford Fire Company attended the 1st Annual WBYA Balloon Festival. Station 39 members were there to fill a dual role. The WBYA asked that we bring a few of the trucks for a display, and to provide fire protection since all the balloons are powered by propane burners. The members also set up a tent in the vendor area for first aid and to sell WBFC apparel. The outing was a success for the WBYA as there were many visitors to the event, and for the WBFC as there were no unexpected issues. See you next year!!!

June 10 - For a couple of hours on Sunday morning, several members of Station 39 participated in our first "Fill the Boot" Day in West Bradford. The members collected enough money from the event to cover the final costs involved in the recent purchase of our Class "A" uniforms. West Bradford Fire Company members appreciate all the support that we receive from our residents and visitors. See you again later in the summer!!

Hoseline Testing

June 9 - Today, Frontline Testing services came to West Bradford to conduct the yearly testing of all the hose lines that are carried on the vehicles. In addition to inspecting our "mile of 5" inch hose, the men and women checked several thousand feet of 1 1/2" and 3" hose. Testing started about 9 am and continued until early in the evening. Thanks to the members who assisted throughout the day in another one of the projects we need to complete every year to keep Station 39 responding.
